Free The Planet is Awesome.

It shall be the purpose of Free The Planet to create change, with emphasis at the Ohio State University, through education and action. Free the Planet promotes and teaches student activism and advocacy in the areas of environment, social responsibility, and cooperation. Free the Planet believes strongly in collective action and active participation in order to achieve goals.

Free the Planet OSU has been working on campus since 2003. Through our history we have brought fair trade coffee to campus, organizing and winning the Victoria's dirty secret campaign, and currently making big progress with our Forest Resources Policy within coalitions we are involved with to demand for environmental and social responsibility on campus.

Our group exists for and because of its members. We work on a consensus style of organizing and believe that through shared leadership people become empowered and effective.
